Remove arm assembly, inspect the stud the arm fits around.and wipe clean using some paper towel like Bounty or those Blue Paper Shop Towels on the stud, remove the rust/corrosion from the stud. At this point, you have two options. Option one: Replace arm on stud and tighten nut just enough to hold the arm on the stud. Put some cloth between the jaws and the arm. Place one spanner down the arm towards the spindle and the other towards the tip, but both on the flat section. Now hold the lower spanner still and twist the upper one, until the tip is flat on the screen. Refit blades, wet the screen and test. The Master ECU is always in the left hand wiper motor and the slave ECU is the Right hand wiper (regardless of Right or left hand drive vehicles).

Posted August 13, 2015. There is a recall of O/S motor which is failing, but Citroen would only agree to replace it on 2009 cars, so anyone with cars not covered by this should report it to DVLA to try influence them to cover other failing units. Replacement units can only be sourced from Citroen.

Hi there can anyone help. I just bought a 57 plate C5 estate the rear window wouldn't open or wiper work. I have fixed the rear window problem but still stuck on the wiper. Blade is stuck at 11oclock position. How do I check if wiper motor is working as 3 wires to it blue white and black ? Which is which ? And what should be output ?

Re: rear wiper not working. Checked fuse and fuse is ok. Check the attaching nut for the wiper arm itself. The nut may be loose and the motor is just spinning in the arm. If it is, clean out the grooves in the arm before you re-tighten the arm on again. Reply Like.
Just had another search arond on here and finally found someone having the same problem as my C5 but on a Xsara. Seemed to be the comms2000 unit but there was no reply as to if it fixed the problem, so i asume it did. The comms2000 units seem to be around £150-£200, so not all too bad. Chris.
